Google Labs is the home to Google’s latest innovations and beta products. It is a testing ground for new services in development. Google described Google Labs as “a playground where our more adventurous users can play around with prototypes of some of Google’s wild and crazy ideas and offer the user to send feedback directly to the engineers who developed them.

It’s frankly a great way for Google to figure out which features are worthy, which ones need work, and which ones should be completely abandoned. Gmail engineers can get user input to help them decide how to use resources. On the flip side, if you are using Gmail Labs, you have to remember that all features are experimental and can be killed at any time.

Using canned responses is another way to cut down the amount of time you spend on email daily. If you constantly receive emails asking for your company’s mailing address, your first step should be to verify that your mailing address is listed in an easy-to-find place on your website and your second step should be creating a Gmail canned response.
